Your sig broadcasting says it all....."I <3 RANGE ROVERS'S" not once, not twice, but like TEN TIMES!?!?!. How tacky is that? Very tacky.

You get/buy nice material things, especially clothing and accessories to show them off. You may be humble, or you may be cocky, but thats what it comes down to.

I buy things strictly for quality and look. I don't buy to please others or show off to others. I buy something if I like it and I don't give a fuck what anyone else thinks.

As for my name and sig, it's actually a huge inside joke with Dtox. Range Rover's are my ultimate fav car and he HATES them so I made the sig as a joke between us.

A little harsh, lol.

On a more serious note.. to each their own..
Some girls have the luxury of being pampered by a rich boyfriend. Most do not. Their behavior is based on their lifestyle. It's almost inevitable.
In all fairness, I doubt she'll get "flappy" when she's older.
(Excuse me if I'm offending) She has more than enough time to hit the gym and stay in shape.

Why do you think some women with rich husbands look like they're 27 when they're 50?

I don't understand why everyone is fucking freaking out about a god damn handbag. If you guys read the Valentines day thread, you'd see my boyfriend and I are going away for a romantic weekend and we will not be exchanging gifts. You're all talking to me like I came in here and I said "Oh you guys need to buy Chanel bags for your girlfriends or else they'll never love you. I'm an ungrateful cunt and all I want from my boyfriend is handbags". Yeah RIGHT. I just spent 3k of my own money on a Chanel bag for myself. So stop lecturing me like I'm some ungrateful cunt. I'm sorry some of you got so offended by me suggesting a handbag. Everyone I know absolutely LOVES Chanel handbags. Chanel handbags to girls are like a super awesome exhaust to guys. I wasn't expecting to strike some fucking debate about being ungrateful, tacky or a prostitute. If you can't afford something, don't buy it. Chill the fuck out!

I definitely don't agree with that. If no one bought anything nice because someone would always have something nicer, no one would buy anything and our economy would fail. People would be living in cardboard boxes with that mentality. It would be like, what's the point of buying this apartment when someone out there has a mansion? I'll just live in this box? Um...

When you buy yourself things, you shouldn't be thinking about what other people have or what other people may think. You buy things for you that you like! If you want to wear a $10 handbag, go for it. If you want to spend $10,000 on a handbag, go for it. No one should ever discourage you from doing what you want to do- especially with your own money.

While I think bragging is tacky, I also don't think there is anything wrong with having pride in things you own whether you purchased them or not.

My boyfriend got me an amazing blazer for Christmas, should I not like it because I didn't buy it?

That's stupid.

I never said that?

I said if people never bought ANYTHING because someone always had something nicer- then no one would ever buy ANYTHING!

People buy $10 handbags now. People also buy $10,000 handbags now and our economy is fine.

If people didn't buy anything period the economy would be non existent.

RangeRover 01-26-2011 10:58 PM

Anyways, to sum up what I just said it was this

Dtox and I are human and no different from any of you.

Spend within your means

Stop stereotyping based on financial status.

Thk u

Alright, well i was hoping you were going to prove me wrong and you did. I respect the fact that even though you buy designer items, you get it for quality and look. As for your sig, thats cleared up aswell, it just came across as cocky.

Yes, I'm not one of those tacky girls head to toe in labels. I don't walk around in a pink Juicy couture tracksuit with big long hair extensions, tons of makeup and an LV bag.

Most of the expensive items I have are non labeled. One who appreciates the brands would recognize them but I buy them because I like them. An average person wouldn't be able to tell how much one of my handbags cost and I don't want them to be able to tell. I buy because I like something, not because I want someone to know the price. If I wanted someone to know how much I paid for something I'd wear logo only like Louis Vuitton or Gucci. Although I do own those brands, I don't wear them a lot because it's just not my style.

I also don't mind it if other girls like my handbags or gawk over them. I love the things I buy and I appreciate it when other fashion lovers share a similar love for items I have- as I would do the same to them.

It's a lot like guys and cars!

The name and signature are purely a joke. Dtox HATES HATES HATES Range Rovers and I think they are amazing so when I joined revscene I made sure to make my profile and my sig all about range rovers.

He calls me "cartarded" for being obsessed with Range Rovers, so we've kind of turned it into a joke.

My whole profile is about Range Rovers

I think my hobbies are looking at my range rover and washing it or something.

I have a sense of humor ;)

Girls like this RangeRover broad makes me sick inside, so tacky, I bet the only job you have had is getting on your knees or laying on your back. By the time your into your 30's your gonna be alone, with flappy meat curtains, and no man will want you, but its alright you got your $5000 dollar chanel bag to cuddle at night.. Btw you sound like a real winner

Why are you jumping the gun? When did RangeRover say she was entitled to this or that? Her BF has money, he can buy her nice things...so who gives a fuck? You're just coming across as bitter. Do you know for a fact that she calls her man an asshole when she doesnt get a Chanel bag? You know what they say about the word ASSuME.

You don't know RangerRover and she doesn't know you. All thats evident from this post is your complete lack of CLASS. Really? "flappy meat curtains"? Your parents must be proud. Shut your hatin' ass up. Of course, i can attack you personally off some of the shit you've said on these forums, but who wants to stoop to your level?

And no, i do not know RangeRover personally, nor have i ever talked to her privately.

RangeRover, you should be able to see how instantly saying "CHANEL" comes off as you looking materialistic to everyone else (it may not be the case, but from everyones reaction thats how its perceived). Most people are assuming things, and coming up with false conclusions.

Guys, you should be giving something from the heart, if all your girl can think about is the price tag, then i feel sorry for you, and vice versa.

I said girls who EXPECT luxurious things to show off. Of course I'm not saying people shouldn't spend their money the way they want to cause someone else will always be richer etc. But if a girl is a gold digger, she's gonna want this and that on the next girl who has more than her.

There's a difference when it's wanting something for bragging rights vs what I can aFford and being comfortable with what my money can do. This wasn't a direct threat/insult/whatever you think this is to you and your man as I was speaking generally as this is an open forum topic.

PS. Also, never said it's a crime to admire/tAke pride in things you bought or someone else did for you. However, lets use the ex. Of a bag, is it really going to mean as much to someone when it's bought with your own hardworking money (that you put you blood sweat and tears into) or say....powered by mommy and daddy? Or in this thread's case their boyfriend/gf/partner and so on.

I honestly prefer when my parents buy me something. I feel guilty spending my own money. I still do it, but they've kind of drilled it into my head that I should be saving saving saving.

Yeah I need to get dtox something for Valentines day and I have no idea what to get him.

What do you get someone who has everything :(

The op states that her guy has everything and is still very into her.
Then coupons are the answer. Not necessarily only sex, but coupons for everyday stuff as well. A couple everyday things like a massage or a dinner prepared by you. Throw in a couple sexy ones as well for fun!
Just make sure you are prepared to give when the bf wants to cash in the coupons.

i was thinking dress shirts or a new preppy looking jacket more towards the formal end of the spectrum (well..SEMIformal)?

I also thought about getting him a watch for work since he's always wearing our matching one to work..i don't want it getting scratched!

his work place does not have a dress code sort of thing..hes an engineer/municipal inspector so he's sometimes in the office and sometimes on site hahaha GShock maybe? :P

get him a watch.... all guys love watches (not those toy or designer brand watches, but real men watches)

or if it is too expensive, get him a tie or cuff or something. Or a steak & BJ day.

Or pm me your number so I can help you better and not let your bf see the idea on RS :)

FI-Z33 01-27-2011 12:07 PM

any suggestion for the watches? i just thought maybe i'd get somethn more practical.

nahhh he doesn't go on rs so its not necessary, thankyou. ;)

Zyzz 01-27-2011 12:20 PM
