Steve Nash Fitness World - Brentwood

Has anyone gone into the presentation centre or checked out the layout online?

I currently go to Golds. I wasnt going to bother checking it out, but I got an offer which is half what I pay now, but I'm hesitant to sign up for a gym that isnt even open yet.

ezol 01-17-2011 07:53 AM

Hey Mike, I go to Golds as well. How much cheaper is steve nash? and is it for the whole term or a few months promo?

i got this thing in the mail that said since i was a fromer fitness world member i can sign up for $24/mth, i pay almost twice that at Golds. They also waive the initation fee ($100+).

the contract is for a year, and I dont believe it goes up, but thats a good question i will ask that if i decide to switch.

JSilver 01-17-2011 11:37 AM

Golds is getting way too busy.

I agree, its pretty bad now with the new year crowds, parking is horrible

When I signed up last weekend, they also told me if switching gyms they offer a rate of $29/mth

JSilver 01-25-2011 09:28 AM

Oh so your already signed up with Steve Nash Brentwood? How is the facility there?

I'm thinking of switching over but I have a feeling Steve Nash will get just as busy too.

its not open yet, they said its not gonna open till April, but the membership will have access to all the other steve nash fitness world gyms.

it probably will be, but i'm only going to be paying roughly half the price as I was paying at golds.

the $24/mth or $29/mth promotion?

I know that the $24/mth promotion for people who used to be members of fitness world is good till the end of this month. With this promotion the activation fee is waived, all you need to pay is the $15 card fee.

Not sure about the $29/mth for switching over. I know that the activation fee which is usually around $150 is reduced to $50 or something.

mikemhg 01-26-2011 01:47 PM

I go to gold's as well.

I was thinking about it, but they want you to sign up now, and start paying. The fucking gym isn't even opened yet, why would I start paying now for a gym that won't even be done until April?

So I can use other Steve Nash gyms, but none are even close to me in Burnaby.

Apparantly the price will go up to $69 if you sign up in April.

I don't know, I'm tempted, but the Nash won't have a steam room or anything like that.

yah i didnt like that either, but with me and my wife both switching we save around $50/mth. I had to give one months notice to golds, and since the steve nash fitness world is suppose to open in april, i only have about one month where i'll have to workout somewhere else. i can live with that if i'm saving about $500 for the year.

wuuhoo 01-27-2011 07:46 PM

Hmm I dont know if the office is still open, but mikeivb, do you know if the promotion is $24 - $28 per month? or is it that rate after the 2 year contract?

Tegra_Devil 01-27-2011 10:17 PM

hmmm, thats a good deal

I currently have a Steve Nash Fitness world membership, i have had it for a couple years...

and im currently paying $27 a month right now(taxes included). I just got btwn the Fitnessworld on Lougheed and North...or the one in north van, depending on which gym im closer to at the time

certain past members got a promotion for $24/mth starting right away, no activation/initiation fee, only extra thing you need to pay is for the $15 card fee. The contract is for one year, and the rate doesnt change after that. This promotion end January 31st.

My wife might not have fallen into this category, but since she's switching from Golds, they offer $29/mth, and i believe around $50 activation/initiation.

I signed up for $39/month + 1 time $54 sign up fee on 12 month contract + 3 months free because I paid it all at once.

The gym will open in April, during that time your membership WILL start, but the pass they give you allows you to go to any of the other fitness worlds EXCLUDING the Sports Clubs. They do however give you a 10day pass to use at the Sports Clubs.

I got the same promo in the mail and actually quit Gold's couple days ago and joined SNFitness. The deal is only valid with Steve Nash Fitness world locations and does not include the SN fitness center DT. The price of 24/month won't go up and really is a steal deal now days. Do It!

Xnova86 01-31-2011 10:35 PM

what if youre not a member and want to join the SN Fitness? how much would it be

they have several layouts of what its going to look like. I think the guy told me its around 30,000 sq/ft, similar size to Golds.

Xnova86 02-01-2011 03:59 PM

fffffuuuu its $39/month for first timers.

i used to go to fitness world at dt but they said they cant do anything about that

nguyen 02-03-2011 07:24 PM

How does the signup work as of now? Any promotions? How much per month and fees? Does it effect anything if your under 19

teddyah 02-04-2011 03:05 PM

The promotion i used was the $24 per month for certain previous members which expired at the end of january. The only other promotion i know of is $29 per mth if switching over from another gym.

Alright so I just signed up for a membership at the Brentwood location and I signed up for a $29/month on a year contract and I just had to pay $15 dollar card fee.
So each month I would just be paying $29/month correct?

People are saying there's hidden fees within that contract?
Anyone have experience with this stuff at fitness world?

JSilver 03-01-2011 09:00 AM

Hidden fees? Maybe you should thoroughly read the contract form you signed. I would also assume you'd be pay a little over $29/month due to tax.
