driven to perform has to be one of the worst car shows ever..all it is is local ppls cars that i see on the street every day with tail lights and maybe some halo headlights or rims and then enter to show off their car cause they think its freaken the best most amazing looking car in the entire world...half the cars arn't even waxed or cleaned properly for a show |
hope itll happen Posted via RS Mobile |

honestly, when the G35 came out, there was a bone-stock one with an intake... whoop dee doo... i'm not asking for ricermobiles, but still... |
do people still mod their cars to the extent of the late 1990s and earlys 2000s? |

But still its pretty amazing to see how much money some people will drop into their cars |
^well timpo posted too many threads about too ugly cars all in one day. does that answer your question? |
hmm.. i know car modding is still alive... dori kaze has a pretty famous ae86.... that is wrapped in lots of carbon parts.. sick looking car. |

I think everybody that are really into cars and car culture will want a show. The shows are usually lots of fun, have lots of cool cars and cool ideas for modifying, usually some decent looking underage broads, some good music and some cool new products. People that think the show is stupid or don't care to have a show or go to it are usually older, have a wife and a kid and/or love their bus pass. They don't have much of a care for cars or are jaded because of all the 'cool' stuff they see on Pimp my ride. Its just funny that they're on Revscene. :fullofwin: |
id totally enter mine in... JDM YO! |
I want it to happen just so I can race my RC there :lol |
DTP coming to Vancouver! :fullofwin: Rocky Mountaineer Station Vancouver, Saturday July 16, 2011 |
I wouldnt count on it. Seems Toyo is doing nothing but cut backs for the past 2-3 years in an attempt to save money where ever they can. With the dollar so strong it doesnt exchange very well for head office in Japan |
sick RX7, I like the banner..... but if they advertise is as taking place and bail 2 years in a row, fuck that's a slap in the face to all local enthusiasts there oughtta be some repercussions or something if they end up bailing on us again. I'm super excited for this years show because there has been so many sick exotics spotted in town over the last year or so, I can't wait to see them all nicely prepped in the show! And you said something about Toyo tires, they been sponsoring all these previous years right ?? from the looks on the banner it says Yokohama, did Toyo perhaps ditch the sponsorship and Yoko took over ?? http://www.dtpautoshow.com/images/bg.jpg |
I like the idea of having it come back. A few years ago, I would say no because it would be one of maybe 3 shows per year that features the exact same cars. Those have died off. Now, there is only the RS meets, so I think having an actual show every now and then would be good. |

As for repercussions if they bail out, well IF they try for a 3rd year after 2 failed attempts back to back, I think the best thing we as a community can do it not support the event. You have to support others if you want them to support you. Canceling shows and dicking the community around is not a postive showing of support for our hobby |
The "Driven To Perform" name has since been to changed just "Driven" as of a couple years ago or so... |
