WHat do you think of this? http://www.vib-motorcars.com/used-in...b9e7df902e2499

Maybe I'll just put my money towards a down payment?

If you want a rusty out of province car, that has been in an accident. I went and looked at this car, lost interest real fast.

Ya I hate it too. But for some reason a lot of Volvo guys get boners over it. It's pretty fucking rare is why.

Some people need to realize, if somethings rare sometimes it's just because it fucking sucks and no one wanted it when it was originally released.

I'm into the Volvo itself though, thats a sick rare car.

I love surfing repo.com just out of curiousity, and I always find little gems:

Mitsu Eclipse GS
Mazda 3
Scion tC

Integra Type-R
and i think you can fetch AP1 for 12g's nowadays

Energy 01-20-2011 12:29 AM

Hard to find a good condition AP1 for that price. Will either be US car, rebuild, high kms, many accidents, riced out. Possible but hard.

Integra type-r is a good choice.

+1 for DC5

i had an RSX for a few years...
fun to drive and best of all, nothing ever went wrong with the car.... no major repair even after 220,000km....even the original clutch was still intact

So just out of curiosity. The ones with the prices listed, you just show up wih the money and pay that and you get the car? No auction or massive hidden fees? Cuz those are some damn cheap prices for cars.

As far as I know, that's how it works. There's tax and a $300 fee, and you get the car.

Of course, the condition of the car itself can be a little dubious, so I advocate proper research on the history and a good look-over first.

Ya, that's a given.

I remembered why I asked this question now:
Wouldn't you have to be careful of any liens on the car? Or if the car loan has actually been paid off? Or is this way past that stage? Ie. The bank only gets a percenteage of whatever the car sells for from the repo.

I think in this case, the bank just gets a share of the car, and then the repo place gets a share. This sort of stuff should be way past the stage of liens.

I'm not sure, best to double-check first. Never personally bought a car from them, just had a friend who did.

94 540i, some mods.

I'd buy it; then again, I like European cars. Not sure if it fits the reliable bill. But I'd totally rock an old 5 series.

Update: I found an 02 SIR (EP3) for 6500, but I got it down to 6000 off some shady Kingsway dealership. I LOVE the look of EP3 hatchbacks, and I've driven one before so I know exactly how they perform. I think they make great shells for some K20A2 powered goodness. I test drove it around, and drove it back to my house and so far no issues. Interior is clean, and there were no ICBC collision claims or anything (just a few for theft). The only thing I've seen wrong with it were a few scratches to the rear bumper and the gauge cluster lights aren't working, but that's not that important. Gonna do an inspection this weekend just to make sure. That being said, I got a few G's left over and I also have some money coming in. Anyone know where I can find a cheap K20A2 (type S not the JDM type R) and tranny? :D

BMW 3 series are really good! You can get an 03 or 04 for 12gs!

Phil@rise 01-24-2011 02:50 PM

an epic beard needs just the right set of wheels and this falls well within your price range http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/rd...122722719.html

i would have to agree with an Acura TSX. I am trying to convince my sister to give up her Audi B6 for it.

Honda reliability, luxury, powerful 4 cylinder motor, fuel economy, and a timing chain engine. What more to ask for?

the only thing i wish it had was an optional awd system.
