Season 2 of Bloods and Sands will be airing in 2012. That'll be a long wait!

Episode 1 & 2 was kinda shitty but I'm glad I kept watching. The show picks up real well after those two snoozers and getting use to the incredibly fake CGI blood lol

Not only that, it's going to be really weird having new actors playing Spartacus and Naevea, and with

This was created when they found out Andy Whitfield had cancer. Season 2 of Spartacus was suppose to be airing this year but his cancer came back so they had to pull production for awhile. Season 2 won't be out until 2012 with Spartacus and Naevia being recast. :(

As much as I like this series, the writing is absolutely atrocious. I don't know what sort of effect the writers were going for, but the way everyone speaks like English is their second language makes me cringe every time I hear all the broken sentences they say. Even when they're literally speaking a second language, the subtitles just accentuate this problem.

Lucy lawless will be back for Season 2 of Blood and Sand.

It's comic book style writing, much like 300. So they speak in short, telegraphic sentences except when the characters explain events to the audience (Lucretia tends to be the one who does this as she's on a side bar to the men's world even while she's in it). It's a style thing and very deliberate.

How's that going to work? Isn't season 2 of B&S going to be about the revolt once they escaped the Ludus?

Complaining about the writing for this show is like a guy complaining that the plot in a porno sucks.

Blood/sand is the first season.

Gods of the Arena is the current (prologue) season.

I thought Lucretia died too but given they're recasting so heavily, and she's one the favorite characters to love to hate in the series, I wouldn't be surprised if they found a way to keep her around so there's at least some familiar faces for the fans.

During an interview, she said she was surprised to be back for this season and is very doubtful that she will be there for season 3.

it looked like the stab was only deep enough to kill the baby. iunno much about human anatomy, but none of the critical stomach parts were punctured and wasnt deep enoguh to kill her? although she looked dead at the end......
