Basic B/W Laser Printer with generic toner

My Samsung just ran out of ink and I found out that there wasn't any cheaper generic toner compatible with it.

NCIX has this one for sale for $50,

http://www.ncix.com/products/?sku=52...g&promoid=1016

Unfortunately, there isn't any generic toner available for this one either.

Which one are you guys using? Any recommendation? The printer is mostly used for printing notes and documents.

Thanks.

edit:

Didn't see that a similar thread was created.

Nevertheless, the top feature I'm looking for is a printer with compatible generic toner as they're the most expensive component. The price of the printer comes second

What do you mean "generic toner"?

The toner itself is pretty much the same thing in any laser printers... what really differs is the cartridge, and sorry to say, I don't think printer manufacturers ever though to implement a "generic" design.

Just take your empty cartridge to a refill place.

Soundy: What I meant was no-name brand toner.

Manic!: Refill kits tend to get a bit messy, so it would be great if there was no-name brand available.

plus the newer samsung printers have a chip that needs to be reset for a print count otherwise it wont function no matter how much ink you refill into it.

Kits come with reset chips. I did it with my HP color laser printer. it is messy but i paid less then $50 for all colors shipped. Just the black from HP costs more than that.

soundy, you should never say all toners are the same inside.

I went to an Asian aftermarket toner refill shop before, the guy showed me there are no less than 10 types of toners with different spec in his "refill room". Of course, I can't tell the different when my naked eyes, they all look the same, but he warned me wrong toner will fuck up the fuser and all the rollers.

For Epson alone, he has 4 different types of toners.

I didn't say they were "all the same inside" - I said they were "pretty much the same thing" - that is, a combination of graphite/pigments and plastic pellets. The specific formulations vary, but all laser printers work on the same concept.
