What is the absolute fastest way to ship an international mail

Hi guys,
I need to send something to Hong Kong by Monday morning (so Sunday night here).
I just asked Fedex about International Next flight and the guy quoted me $1000 to send just an envelop... WTF
the next fastest way is to use the International Priority, which I have to send it by 5pm tomorrow.
Thing is the document that I want to send won't be ready until Saturday noon.
Are there any other services that offer weekend one-two days international delivery?

Trying to call UPS right now...

$1000 seems about right for an overnight delivery halfway across the world.

At that pricepoint, you might as well just buy a ticket on saturday and fly there yourself for garaunteed delivery.

I've done a lot of express shipping and that's about right. Hell once I had to (or at least the company did) pay $2000 to get emergency medical supplies up to the Queen Charlotte Islands over night.

Express is pricey but at least you'll know it's getting there.
Or, as you said, you can take it yourself. (Expedia tells me you're looking at about $2000 return for this... and some really really weird connecting flights if you need to leave Sat night, since the Sunday flights don't get you there till Monday after dinner).

Or there's this:

flight
Return: from C$1,461.91
2:10 am Depart Vancouver (YVR)
Arrive Hong Kong (HKG) 7:55 am
+1 day
Sun 30-Jan
Duration: 13hr 45mn
Cathay Pacific Cathay Pacif

Find someone nice enough to take your letter with them on the plane?

You should've tried DHL. I use them to ship things back to China in the rural areas.

There is a DHL distribution centre on Hastings and Clark.

next time, send it through work and have them bill/offer to pay for the parcel. Corporate rates are 50-60% lower than the retail rate.
