I know this is thread is oooold but I forgot I had a revscene acct when I picked up my Speed6.
The smoking turbo was a TSB and to be taken care of once it was proven by the dealership that it happens. Thats easier enough as you drive it there, shut it off, restart it and let it idle. Or just open your open up your intake near the MAF sensor and if there's black soot on the inside, its happened on that car.
Buuut that work will only be covered during warranty period of 80,000k or 4/5years - just like all of the TSB's.
TSB's are "less important" recalls that arent as dangerous (yay?). Find more info about them on
here.
There was also a Clutch TSB for 2006 Speed6's. Mine is an 06 and the clutch is ridiculously stiff. A Mazda tech though it was a stage2 just to give an idea about the stock clutch for that year in case someones about to buy one.
Other than that, I do love my Speed6 and it feels like a "fun grown up" sedan.
