I'm pitching in $10-$15

so im a COD guy. the infinity ward games, specifically.

I bought into the hype and the marketing for BF3 pulling COD players over and bought it to give it a legit shot

and man, this game fucking sucks compared to COD4 and MW2. and even compared to black ops.

the campaign was complete bullshit. finished it nearly in just one sitting. and it was a pretty good knock off of black ops. there were some missions that definitely had potential, but they just fell short. the AI on the opposing players was non existent, they just simply follow their programmed pattern, and your buddies dont do shit either.

but multiplayer... BF3 guys always talk shit on COD for how its multiplayer is all noob and run and gun shit. its way fucking worse in BF3! the game speed seems faster too, like running is way faster, and i dont think that helps at all. maybe its better on PC, i dunno, but on XBOX its terrible. actually the only time the game isnt run and gun is if you spawn 5 miles from the battle and have to run there

and overall, the game feels cheap. it doesnt feel a whole lot better than Battlefield 1943 which was a pretty lame downloadable game. it doesnt feel refined at all to me

maybe just my opinion, but i cant wait for MW3.

Battlefield was never meant for console. For the "proper" BF3 experience, play on PC with non-pubs and you will see what the difference is. My k/d ratio is pretty terrible usually, but I usually top the scoreboard per game simply by helping my team out by giving health, repairing, ammo...

When I have a good squad we can pretty much hold a point indefinitely and simply own the other teams' players.

IMO cod is just a twitch fest who can pull a trigger faster than the other

While BF does have its moments of kill fests etc there are so many more tactical approaches you can take and get a tonne d points other than just going head to head deathmatch style

bf3 run and gun?
Everyone I see in bf3 trying to play cod style ends up like 3 - 20
its not possible because PC players are adapting to the game mechanics and learning to hold positions for defence and positioning for offense.
Its great when you have a game like that because there is so much team work involved and makes the game 100x intense.

I have had tons of games where 1 or 2 really good squads tear up the entire game by slowing clearing important areas and not rushing it.

for the server is it possible to implement stats just for the server?

I'm in provided...

1. it's a close server so the ping is low. I've gotten as low as 35ms for Seattle servers. Let's just say low would be under 75ms?
2. We get reserved slots.
3. Somebody gets a vent server going, can't stand Battlelog voice chat just plain doesn't work for me.

If somebody can confirm this, I'm in.
