How do you guys deal with using the scope close to mid range combat??
I always miss the target close combat especially with 4x zoom

Yea this I can totally relate. For some reason my girlfriend love to watch me play bf3 hell even in bad company 2. But when I play black ops she said that game is boring lol. She'll grab a chair and sit beside me and help me spot in battlefield and she's not even a gamer

Hmm, I'm using the 4890 as well, but running on high seems a little too laggy for my taste. I'm thinking of picking up another 4890 to crossfire (can get one for ~$65). It's either that or waiting until the next gen comes out, and I pick up a 6950 or 6970 for cheaper.

....Or maybe I'll do both. What do you guys think? Is it stupid to buy another old gen card now?

Easy way to adjust for CQB is to aim at legs. I've been caught a bunch of times at close range using the stock 4x AK scope, and aiming at crotch level or lower really helps.

I always zoom in as a habit at close to mid range, maybe not at 1 to 5m. But hip firing helps aimed firing too, still need that twitch reaction to aim at a person immediately. Will try the G3A3 tonight, unlocked it last night along with the SG :alonehappy:

Lol so my dad has been playing on my rig and loves the graphics game play etc but his buddies all play mostly COD through Xbox so he figured he might try to bf3 on console to see what it was like compared to the computer, played console for about an hour and claimed Xbox to be "unplayable" compared to pc lol

stock clocks. The DH14 is just there for looks really. It doesn't make a bit of difference.

I have no idea if your specs match mine, or if they're better, but if they match, it's just server lag. I rubberband in some servers.

For anyone wanting to hook up a joystick with no issue (I know many of you have probably done so, but just bumping the topic):

Empty any joystick bindings for all types (person, vehicle, helicopter, jet). Just set the ones that you want (most likely in helicopter and jet), and you shouldn't have any more weird conflicts (like being unable to drive jeeps).

Now that I have my joystick setup, flying is wayyy more enjoyable :)

rename the file to user.cfg make sure is NOT user.cfg.txt lot's of people make this mistake.

I'm running everything on ultra with this tweak at 2560x1600 res using GTX 480. Only setting that is off is AA.
