There's no literal AWP in the game, but the M98B comes close. Headshots come easier since there's a LOT less bullet drop compared to the other rifles. Personally, I hate the L96 since I find I can't hit ANYTHING even while taking a couple of steps to avoid fire. The M40A5 can still fire on the move.

Okay I thought it was just me that can't hit anything with L96. I will try the m98b thx

good guns to try to unlock are the:

Assault: Famas
Support: QBB-95 and depending of who you ask, maybe the MG36
All Kit: PP-19 (probably the best unlock from B2k) and MK3A1

Engineer and the Recon class unlocks are worse the original weapons

Actually the QBU-88 has one of the fastest reloads I've seen for the semi-auto rifles. It's good for a mid-long range play style, but gets shitty the further out you have to aim.

i hate people with semi-auto rifles, learn how to use a real sniper rifle

anyone else play as an aggressive sniper?

The sniper class is designed to play aggressive.
spawn beacons, sensors etc etc

I use them to counter assholes who use them at close range, and on urban maps where bolt-action isn't practical. Besides, most militaries are using designated marksman rifles like the Mk11 where the range of a sniper rifle isn't needed or in close range.

I try to mix camping and aggressive sniping with a bolt action, setting up shop in areas where I know people are gonna try to aim down (ie. the roof of the half-finished building on Gulf of Oman TDM). Way too many people in TDM camp in shitty places where they're asking to get a shot in the head.

i love using the mk11 with an acog and foregrip

I use mine with the 8x rifle scope, foregrip, and silencer. VERY effective in hardcore mode on guys 80-150ft away. Double-tap FTW.

The QBU-88 is good, but the Mk11 is better. More consistent.

hey k2, I had to look up that loser we were playing with lastnight that just flew around with the MAV 24/7. LOOK AT THIS IDIOTS STATS :lol the_hevquip - BF3 Stats

How boring is your life when all you do is play BF3 as a sniper and fly around with the MAV. He has more than 4000 kills with it and he's played the game for 271 hours :lol:lol:lol:lol:lol

This game was fun. I jumped in when he was two flags short of controlling the board. Made the mistake of thinking he was a n00b and flew in to take a flag...got shot out of my cockpit -_-

Turns out IFV LMGs can take out helicopters if you've got the right aim and cover. I ended up taking him down quite nicely. I felt proud taking out a gold eagle like so. Sometimes those little 1V1 matches are quite interesting.


Oh, and I found out that if you go up in a Viper as the pilot, you can take over as gunner for just enough time to empty the cannon before you have to hop into the pilot's seat in order to not crash.

that way you never get hit by air guide..

try playing hardcore mode, but then again it also depends on distance too

I agree until you unlock the M98, then you can actually snipe effectively. Too bad they only put in the .338 instead of the M107 .50. The bullet drop is completely unrealistic in this game but I think they had to do that to avoid massive sniper camp-fests. Even a .338 wouldn't require any drop compensation up to 6-700 yards.

G3A3 is the best AR in the game I've decided. Been on a rampage since unlocking it.
