Anyone on PC interested in squadding up to do a bunch of Squad Deathmatch for the assignment? I'd like to try and get that out of the way. Tomorrow? 9 o'clockish?

Holy shit that was a blast. Mad props to TOS'd, dliu and bobola. Despite annoying team-alignment issues, we ended up with four awesome sqdm wins.

Weird stuff about SQDM: The "squads" are not actually squads, they're teams. If you are in a party, you get to join a team and a squad. If you're not in a party, you're part of the team, but not the squad. Being in a party is a HUGE benefit because you get to spawn off each other--otherwise it's simply "Random spawn point" which is usually near one of your team members.

We won one game by nearly 20 points...probably mostly because we could spawn off each other.

so if i go in solo and try SODM and join a team that wins, do you get a point towards the assignment?

yes, but you can't control which team you join. And you can only switch teams once after joining a server. It's a real challenge to win sqdm without teamwork...I can only imagine that the other teams we were playing against were quite annoyed that they kept losing to us.

good to know, at least i have a slim chance of completing that assignment.

i've been slowly cutting down on playing, it hasn't been as fun after i unlocked the USAS and MKA3. but there aren't many other games out that i'm interested in so i usually play for an hour and then log.

i'm getting my KD ratio close to 1 though, i think i'm at .95 now. i seem to get a + KD on metro but i get pissed off when no one drops ammo :yuno:

bf3 is only fun when you have friends gaming with you.
played a couple of games with a completely noob friend and JD yesterday.
Lost both games but at least it was fun

Do I have to join through battlelog on my PS3, or can I do it while on my laptop? I try to log into my Origin account and nothing works... Ugh

arg.. need to upgrade my CPU... my C2DE8400 is maxing out and then crashing..

cant play in a 64player map... i think 32players is max before my computer crashes..
