not sure what office version you have 2003,2007,2010 go to the insert tab in the ribbon, select shapes, choose a straight line, then drag and drop to where you need it. should be the easiest way to make the borders you need

it may also be easier if you make a table. make a size that you want and after that, select the cells that you want the border with. right click and hit border and it should allow you to select which side of the selected cells with which border style and how thick.

insert line...then tab everything to right
