Facebook Black Frame shit on photos (solution)

Have you noticed lately on the latest facebook update. that the black frame crap is bothering you around the picture. Well here is the solution. just click any refresh button for page F5, press down on mouse scroll, etc on the photo and it will disappear. i believe it's R for mac but not sure because i don't own one. enjoy :)

Thankfully, I still haven't had any black frame ridiculousness around photos. I suppose it will be a matter of time.

Xnova86 02-09-2011 09:58 PM

i saw it a couple of times. i hope they take it off cuz facebook is steering away from their original concept of being CLEAN and is becoming like myspace

ae101 02-09-2011 10:12 PM

can i get rid of this for good

spoon.ek9 02-09-2011 10:13 PM

i HATE the new format of showing pics on fb. it pisses me off so much. thanks OP.

TOPEC 02-09-2011 10:14 PM

u can also remove the frame by deleting the "&theater" in the link

i think theres also a plug in for chrome browsers

Nightwalker 02-09-2011 10:18 PM

It's called a lightbox

Euro7r 02-09-2011 11:18 PM

stupid black frame looks retarded

skyxx 02-09-2011 11:21 PM

I actually like the black background for viewing photos, though it gets annoying when you click X but then it pops up again! wtf eh.

Windstar 02-09-2011 11:39 PM

nothing happening on my facebook yet

TheKingdom2000 02-09-2011 11:58 PM

it's not a permanent fix, but it works.

Thanks op

Another solution is to open up the photo, close it navigate to another page, go in to history and then click on the link of the photo

if you open in new tab it loads like the old way

insomniac 02-10-2011 09:53 AM

Or you can copy the link and paste it in a new tab or page.. It's the fastest way. hate how you can't copy URL with the black frame

I hope they remove it for good because it's nothing more than a slight hassle. I don't know wtf they were thinking when they added this so-called "feature".

if you're on the new way, bottom left it says download in high reso, just right click that and copy link location

Shun Izaki 02-10-2011 12:09 PM

middle click, open in new tab, instead of left clicking... win.

(this works because the link itself isn't appended when viewing a thumb)

can you elaborate? i didnt find any links for theater..

ForbiddenX 02-10-2011 12:57 PM

In the actual url when you open up a lightbox thing it'll have &theatre at the end

http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?blablabalbala&theater

If you delete that and press enter it'll open up normally

JDął 02-10-2011 01:16 PM
