Come to think of it, what was the name of the raw speaker place further west on 4th avenue. CLose to where Flag Shop used to be. This was way, way back in the late 70's early 80's. I swear it was also called Speaker something. This was when vinyl records were still common.

Do any of you guys know a fellow by the name of Gord? Burly kind of guy. He was a sound engineer. Amazing ears. Human RTA he was. Could tell you where your problems were...... down 6db at 400 Hz. WTF? I listen to pink noise and might be able to tell there is a problem somewhere in the mid bass - certainly not a specific band and by how much.
I guess if it's your job, you have to be good. I bet it's like a musician with perfect pitch. It's a bit of a curse.
I'm rambling again............

I was there from about 95' to 00' and Mike was there till about 99' when he started before that I don't know.
The raw speaker place you speak of may have been Speaker City it wasn't originally in the 4th and fir location but thats long before my time there.
We had a great crew there full of strife and conflict but some damn good installers and salesmen. The few years there I had the best in the biz train me, Ryan S and his bro was another of those human RTA's dude was impressive. I have yet to see anyone top the quality or fit/finish of Ryan's work. Even Brian's or Tim's and they do/did great work as well.

Holy shit, it's been a whole year and I just got my antenna last week. Better get it in before the 10th. lol
Would it help if I tied a string to the end of the old antenna so I can fish the new one in?
Ah fuck it, I'll just do it and post back later.

Yup, so much easier. Make sure you have it tied properly. Would suck for it to come off just before making it out the other end, LOL.
Run string or whatever parallel with old cable, tape it, loop it back and tape 'er down again.
BTW, antenna from wreckers? Took a whole year to find one, eh............

LOL, I did exactly that, MG. It only took a few extra minutes cause my roof rack fairing was in the way and I had to use a torx ended allen key to take the bolts out and find brake cleaner to wipe the tape residue off the end.
Only reason it took this long was I kept driving my other car (w/ good reception) and I generally only get parts for my Civic from Pick A Part. I found a break in the outer cable that was hiding behind the fusebox so that was why my reception was so bad.
While I had my tools out, I decided to take my driver's door panel off and check the wiring for the speaker that keeps cutting in and out. Got that sorted and noticed that the jackass that installed the alarm ran the trigger(?) wire for the PDL, right to the sw. at the driver's door. He pulled the rubber boot off (under the A pillar) and ran it under the rubber door seal to the switch. Now I have to figure out if there's a wire under the dash that does the same thing or else properly fish the wire through the boot, reconnect it and reinstall the boot. I don't like the idea of rain and stuff being able to enter right by the fusebox.
