| dangerous ignorant driver.
so around 6pm today
i was having a smoke outside the shopper's on no.5/cambie.
faraway, i saw an elderly asian in white shirt walking on the crosswalk
a black civic drove in fast speed, almost crashed into the guy, after few seconds of WTF, the black civic drove away quickly.
from my vintage point (exit door of shopper's drug mart), i saw the old man trying to track down the black civic.
amusingly, the black civic parked in the mall, the civic driver was some asian kid (couldn't tell which ethnicity) came out and walk to the door.
the elderly asian dude, drove his car by the dude and obviously took the chance to bitch at him.
old man: "you almost ran over me"
young dude: "no i did not" (acting nothing has happened)
old man: "you almost ran over me at the crosswalk"
young dude: "well you should look where you go on the cross walk!"
young dude flashed middle finger at the old guy, ignored the guy and walk into the store.
honestly dude, i dunno if you are reading this, but seriously, are you ok?
your car, 914 xxx, with black transformer on your gas tank.
i suggest you should get an eye doctor if you can't see a white-coloured shirt guy walking on the parking lot.
the reason why i wanna type this here, is i wanna remind everyone to drive carefully. if you do something wrong, it doesn't hurt to say sorry. this kid, acting all tough, gangsta wannabe, doesn't feel shame at all. you don't even realize you almost killed the guy and you flash a middle finger? you mad?
how does it feel if you drove my car on you and act like nothing happened?
drive carefully and be a responsible driver everyone.

On a serious note, I think that guy lives in my neighborhood and my gf knows him.
Was it a black civic coupe? 08-2010 with the transformers decal on the gas cap

Drivers nowadays don't know how to slow down at crosswalks and see if there is anyone about to walk. Especially crosswalks right at the exits of highways/bigger streets. They probably don't even know that pedestrians have the right of way on a crosswalk.
6PM is starting to get dark. Let me guess, the guy in the Civic didn't turn on his headlights?

Don't think it's a question of age. That's how idiot drivers are - they blame YOU for THEIR ignorance.
Got rear ended one time by a drunk driver. Guy gets out "You came out of nowhere! What the fuck?" Umm okay buddy, I stopped for a left turner.
I used to rage at these types of drivers. Now I just don't give a damn. Yelling does nothing, maybe they'll drive a little more careful for 5 minutes are they get bitched at, but give them a day and they're back to square 1. Sad part is they'd consider themselves OK at driving and worthy of their +$10,000 sport package on their mercedez benz.

I see alot of elderly people not pay ANY attention to whats going on around them. I've had to swerve many times because they do what ever they want.
But yes, most young kids these days are raised with no respect because their parents are to busy being young still IMO.

someone should send that guy in the black civic to the aberdeen center parking lot.
It's win - win....... he hits someone he learns not drive like an asshole. Asian douchebags get hit for walking down the middle of a the driving area, they learn to walk on the side.

**I don't actually know the guy, I just have relatives who live in this area so I'm always hanging around there on the weekends.
That being said I've seen this dipshit drive many many times. Even in a MARKED school + playground zone with mini roundabouts, he still speeds and manages to hit vtec everywhere.
This area is populated by two main types of residents: young elementary school kids (note the elementary school in the back) and older, senior folks. seriously... everytime I see this guy it's a big WTF
