Using iPod as an instrument to play cover songs

FerrariEnzo 02-12-2011 02:36 PM

it would be better on the iPad... too small for my fat fingers

Jegz 02-12-2011 02:59 PM

woob 02-12-2011 04:38 PM

How about using an iPod to play your original songs?

akalic 02-12-2011 05:19 PM

Gorillaz's latest album was made on the iPad

Manic! 02-12-2011 06:10 PM

Why not just use real interments?

jack3d 02-12-2011 09:13 PM

Ipods can do everything these days

KuSouL 02-12-2011 09:36 PM

cause real instruments cost shit loads . and ipod is convenient because its portable and does the exact thing a real instrument can do for less money .

64 gig Ipod
$429.99

http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/id/10153662.aspx

Drum kit
$440

http://www.long-mcquade.com/products...d_Hardware.htm

Guitar
$185

http://www.long-mcquade.com/products...II_-_Ebony.htm

Guitar amp
$135

http://www.long-mcquade.com/products...itar_Combo.htm

Midi Keyboard
$420

http://www.long-mcquade.com/products...Controller.htm

and those instruments will sound way better than an Ipod app. Those Ipod drums sound terrible. The Midi keyboard with some software let you make any sound you want and even has a set of drum pads.

Clearly you don't play any instruments. Ipods cannot replicate the sound of an experienced musician on their instrument of choice. I'll stick to my guitars and drum kit, thanks.

they're using their ipods because it is new and unique and the general population would probably find it entertaining.

obviously all those guys above have instruments. They wanted to try something different. It would be hard to set up drums guitars and amps on a subway. But, with their ipods they can do it. And if I were in that train car I would think it was pretty cool.
