ive installed TONS of decks in cars..
just make sure you get a proper surround and if you want to keep your rear speakers stock, your going to need the METRA harness toyo-01 i think....
hardest part is getting the dvd to work while driving depending on the model..

I actually just been to visionand ask them about installation...from what they told me...with the stock amps in our IS...you would need to bypass it and just use with the power in the aftermarket deck...n they charge ALOT for doin dat...that's y I m asking around my other options for my installation Posted via RS Mobile | |

im telling you, a METRA harness bypasses all that...
OR you hav eto replace the REAR speakers with aftermarket and also tapp into the amp, or run new wires.
both ways its giogn to cost you over a 100$, the harness is MUCH easier...
if you want, i can tell you what to get and help you install it in a couple hours...

i think you bought the WRONG one...
that harness is the one you use if you are going to bypass the amps.. http://www.metraonline.com/part/TYTO-01
thats the one you need to use if you want to keep the amps..
and don't worry about 03+(if u have a 01-02) i know how to "mod" it to work..

or it will just sound like shit, but i think it will fry something.. if you use the stock speakers...
your giogn to have to spend 100$+ for speakers...
or 70$ and a week for the harness.. which makes installing it WAY quicker...

thank you so much for the great info...i will 1st try to get hold of the harness you were talkin about and go from there...but i guess non of the local shops would have that in stock tho...order online again...lol
i hv been waiting for parts for the deck over n over...1st had a hard time finding the right fit dash kit...then the harness i hv right now...
