Yours came in a black folder? Mines was just inside the postage envelope... |
Yeppers, it's just shiny paper but still kinda neat I guess. Mine was just in a normal envelope |

I just received my copy of "Collections" a Canada Post publication and they had pictures of the coins, because they are sellling the coins, as well. They are encapsulated and come in square cardboard like the ones pictured above, along with a certificate of authenticity. WTF? in a bag? |
Wait....so for those of you that had theirs arrive in one of those black paper/folder......was yours just a normal white envelope? |

Just FYI, mine, not mines. Like, anyway...... instead of anyways. RS Grammar police................. |
How many of these coins do people have so far? Did most just go for the 3 limit or find ways around it? |

canadapost.ca follow links to collector's shop. Sign up and that should do it. Canada Post has been selling collector's coins on their website for a long time now. |
I buy a lot of coins at the post office actually. A lot cheaper to find a good post office with coins from a year or 2 old that coin people dont think to check, and when a coin becomes sought, can find them for Mint prices rather then market value. Done real good with the Dinosaur coins in that regard. Edit: thanks for the link idea, gonna sign up and do just that! |

Even better is when the post office clears old stock for up to 50% off. I stay away from coins, as collecting stamps is bad enough. |
Anyone else get their coins? I have yet to receive mine from Canada Mint, however, I received the three I ordered from Canada Post, on Friday. I ordered the coins from Canada Post way after I ordered the ones from Canada Mint. I don't think I wil be getting the Canada Mint any time soon, if at all. Anyway, I just wanted to know if others had got theirs yet. |
i got mine a few weeks ago... i ordered it and received it in like 2 weeks ;O |
I ordered mine on the 16th of February from Canada Mint. Canada Post order was placed on March 7th, LOL. |
Got mine from Canada Mint a few weeks ago. The order arrived approximately 3 weeks after I placed an online order. It came in the picture posted above with a navy blue boxes stuck on a half folded black cardboard-style box. |
I ordered from the mint the first day it was available and got it about a month later. Then I ordered from Canada Post afterwards and got it about a week and a half later. If you didn't get yours by now then you will probably never get it. There's also a shortage of silver 1oz Canadian Maple Leaf bullion too. No local bullion dealers have any in stock and don't know when they will receive more. Posted via RS Mobile |
What's the weight of the $20 coin? 1/10th oz? |
It's a 1/4 troy ounce so 7.78g. The mint is making a lot of money on these coins. Posted via RS Mobile |
anyone try depositing it back into the bank? did the teller say anything? edit just deposited them. took a while because the teller had to ask a manager but in the end there were no problems. w00t |
My last 3 (of 9) finally came in and this is the only 3 the mint sent with the blue folder. I wonder how they decided which get the folder and which ones dont. |
The black paper folder was a waste of space with the coins stickered on the page in random spots I threw it out afterwards |
Check out this guy. I wonder if anyone is going to buy it http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/va...283213312.html Posted via RS Mobile |
