Pixar looks like a really fun place to work, i wish more office jobs had that kind of environment

valent|n0 02-19-2011 06:00 PM

do pixar use their own software or are they using third party software?

Edit: NVM I found out they use their own proprietary software

Culture_Vulture 02-20-2011 01:08 AM

this reminds me of an episode of Chef Abroad where Michael Smith went to visit the Google HQ...of course his show is more food oriented but the vibe is exactly the same

hypediss 02-20-2011 03:15 AM

thanks for the vid... man they put alot of work into every frame of their animations... epic...

pixar actually started making animated shorts as a way to show off their software's (renderman) capabilities, which i think it was originally designed for medical industry. someone at disney found out about it, and they started making feature length animations together.
