Window Tint Question

/////

baggdis300 02-18-2011 12:43 PM

are you looking on the inside or out side?

i know on my is300, the rear doors corner window is a little short if you look from inside, but out side its completely black.

the shtity part is now if you remove the tint on the rear hatch your defrosters will no longer work

street legal is the best, hands down. nixon goes above and beyond to make sure you have a perfect tint job, he is very thorough.

all i can say when you get your tint done is check for jagged crooked cut lines and more importantly look for dirt trapped between the film and your glass... you would be surprised.

the shop that messed up my tint also damaged my vehicle is a bad way. im getting it repaired, their expense. until it is all settled i wont mention there name.

i fucked up like that with A1 tinting they left sticker residue from a temp. insurance permit on it

since i paid cash i didn't have a receipt and therefore i couldn't make them fix it and/or pay to fix the defroster lines

Ouch. Sorry to hear. Hope it all works out for you.

For tints, I would only take it to reputable shops. N-Motion has worked on several of my friends' and co-workers vehicles and they were more than happy to do provide aftersales and out-of-warranty repair without any question. Great guys and great prices.

n motion does the job right the first time, but they are $$$

it cost me 200$, to get 4 side markers and 4 tails done(two were about 3" circle lights)

If you desire to securely eliminate your vintage, or add new tint, the kind that is slash to spec and has no dirt or shit tricked below it, proceed glimpse nixon at road lawful tint.

edit:

shitty shop that effed up my tint and damaged my door panels was PH SOLAR. these guys suck... ask around and you will hear similar stories. these guys re-did my tint 2-3 times and still couldn't get it right. and on top of that caused damage to my car....

i did mine at tintcenter (tintcenter.ca)
kris uses a machine to cut the tint then shaves the edges perfectly, leaving zero gap. not the cheapest but you get what you pay for.

JSilver 07-08-2011 08:08 AM

Inquired a tint @ tintcenter.ca.

Quoted me $225 for 5 back windows. Pretty pricey.
