Suspect named and charged but didn't show up in court

List of charges

I thought the initial reports said the suspect was driving a stolen vehicle?

No, but witnesses said he was speeding. It was more than just an accident. Both victims died instantly. It must have been pretty ugly.

No reports ever stated it was a stolen vehicle.

The first reports I heard on the radio, before the Jeep was found, they speculated it might be a stolen vehicle and that's why the driver ran. Later when the Jeep was found, they said they didn't know whether it had been stolen, but that they had no reports to that effect.

Lorraine Cruz used to work at my best friend's (he was the manager) coffee joint. Met her a few times back tha day and even went clubbing with her once. She was a really nice girl. Small world. My friend was pretty bummed out all day when he found out.

Can't even imagine what it would be like to be her bf's shoes right now. RIP.

As with so much else, they need to actually enforce the laws they already have before worrying about making them stricter.

what is the visibility around that area at the time of crash, never been there myself. It is indeed a tragedy (wrong place and wrong time).

RIP, I hope the suspect never drives again.

When I read her name I thought it was a girl I used to hang out with. Same first and last names, apparently different spellings and both are nurses. Scared the shit out of me. I had to look up pics of this girl to make sure.

that area is a "T" in the road. Pitt River road ends there. my guess is the Cherokee tried to initial D the corner and would have slammed into that same are himself but someone else crashed first.

most likely drunk and ran to avoid a DUI charge on top of everything else.

the fact he ran means he has no compassion for the people he may have injured or killed (in this case killed), knew what he did was wrong and tried to avoid punishment.

to him avoiding punishment outweighed the lives of two people. what if they weren't dead and could have lived if he had tried to assist? that just shows what his morals are like.

Fucking cunt. accident or not, he deserves to die.
