Detailing Seminars

I am thinking of doing some single and two day detailing seminars. Would you guys be interested in attending and if so, what would you like to see included in the class?

I would like to see the effect of Menzerna's Power Finish with different pads.

I just did a 7 hour exterior detail on my car last week with a polishing pad which I thought would've been enough to remove light scratches + swirls. I think I got MOST of the swirls out but still left some of the deeper ones behind? As for light scratches, I seriously don't know what is consider light since some of the fairly light scratches (which I define as non-nail catching scratches) didn't really come out. So, I really want to learn how each pad work differently with the Power Finish.

Is polishing bad only good for light swirls or extremely light scratches? And will a cutting pad help eliminate the scratches that I define as light scratches?

Mexico is a long drive bud! Where in Kelowna are you? I'll be heading up there to do a few cars on Lakeshore Drive for a client up there.

Hoping to get up there late spring/early summer. Client has three cars for me so I'll be there for a few days likely. Keep in touch and maybe we can meet up.

911fanatic 03-01-2011 08:49 PM

So it seems for the most part, you guys are interested in learning the basics that will help you maintain your cars at a higher level. We could do a one day course covering proper washing, wheel detailing, claying/using IRON X, applying wax/sealant. May be able to squeeze in some interior work as well. I'd like to keep the class small but what do you guys think? How many guys in a class?

06TLer 03-01-2011 09:19 PM

I dunno, I'd say no more than 15 cause if everyone wants to give everything a try, it will take awhile to rotate through 15 people already. If you put in all the different steps and procedures it seems like a single step might take up to half an hour considering you have to teach us and possibly give us all a turn.

moomooCow 03-01-2011 10:21 PM

definitely interested if price is reasonable!

gearshifter 03-02-2011 12:55 AM

I'm interested in paint correction for noobs! :P
Will you be having that?
