party tray of cheap chicken wings for take out?

helping this school club plan an event.

Does anyone know of any place where I can order a lot of cheap wings? I will be picking up.

It could be any kind of chicken wings.

If I recall properly, I think there are some chinese places that would prepare a party tray amount of friend chicken wings and allow ppl to take out??????

:)

*EDIT: a place near UBC would be nice. I don't really want to drive from ubc to richmond then back to ubc for the event.

Costco should have some large party trays. Then all you have to do is heat it up in the oven. Should save you some $$ especially if its a school event.

^yeah those frank red hot sauce wings are the shit! so tasty and delicious!

Senna4ever 02-23-2011 08:49 PM

Another vote for the Costco wings. :)

costco ftw

orange7 02-23-2011 09:49 PM

is there another option where I don't have to use an oven.

I can't go into the kitchen cause i'm not a female. lol

actually it's cause there isn't an accessible kitchen in the building.

btw, the amount of wings I'm looking to buy would be about the size of an turkey oven pan.

anyone knows if kent's kitchen sell chicken wings at that quantity?

or would it be possible for me to go to a wings bar and order from there?

Nechako87 02-23-2011 10:02 PM

why don't you just bake them at home then bring them to school?

cause that's too much work. Also, I'm not a female. :)

I don't get paid for labour work for this student club. lol

beside, the club is paying for the food and it's weird if i ask them to pay for my labour. rofl

if anyone is wondering, this is not a potluck. This is a social event that the social committee of this club is planning. I am part of this committee and one of my tasks is to get some chicken wings.

beetea 02-23-2011 10:22 PM

go to kent's. i've done it before.

but if you get a lot tell them in advance maybe

Since you're not capable of entering a kitchen or visiting Costco, and cost doesn't seem to be an issue

1. Go to Domino's Pizza in person, through the phone, or online
2. Order wings at $9/10pcs
3. ?????
4. Profit

What club is this for btw?

Culture_Vulture 02-23-2011 10:30 PM

Try the Yaohan foodcourt?
Or even ManchuWok or Flaming Wok or whatever, I think they do catering?

Culverin 02-23-2011 10:33 PM

mui garden does catering trays.
So you can get a big ass rectangular tray of wings.

Not sure how much notice they need.

although it's not my money, I still wouldn't want the club to get ripped off.

could you just imagine me showing them the reciept for those expensive wings? I sure wouldn't want to be put into that position.

Using your "special sauce" right?

HondaGuy 02-23-2011 11:50 PM

I think orange7 wants cooked wings ready to be picked up and ready to eat.

Why dont you order from Wings on Main St., just ordered a batch of them for pickup, then straight to UBC.
Or go to yaohan foodcourt and ask them for the full tray.

Preferrably cooking food yourself would be cheaper but thats your choice.

Kents kitchen - if you don't mind asian wings. I don't really know where you can buy pub wings for cheap though. Closest I can think of is wingnuts but they are $$$.

where is this wings place? I shall give them a shout tomorrow.

The reason why I prefer pickup instead is because I have classes in the morning and evening. The event is sceduled at in the evening, which means I have like 1-2hours to get everything.

If I cook the wings in the morning, the wings will be bad by 5pm. Also, I don't live on campus so going home to cook the wings during the evening is not an option.

worst comes to worst is I convince everyone that there is a chicken flu going on and that we should all eat pizzas instead.

This is how we roll...

Yes, I brought a turkey deep fryer to central park.
While other families had their picnics.
I had freshly fried pub style wings. :fullofwin:

What's the food like at the RS meets?

TRDood 02-24-2011 11:54 AM

Thats 10000x too much work for the OP. He claims to be kitchen handicapped due to a lack of pussy.
