I did it and I'm the owner, nobody's getting fired! I'm usually a good judge of when I can let someone pay me later, the customer was a friend of a friend so I thought it would be okay. You could call around and I'm sure you will find that most shops let certain people pay later especially if the original job ends up being much bigger than it was supposed to be. I'm not going to let 1 or 2 bad apples ruin it for others. At the end of the day I would never let anyone owe me more money than I am willing to lose. This was only about $250 I only brought it up in the thread because of the other person who got scammed for much more. In the end I have a signed work order and invoice, I have a collections agency that I work with that will get me my money back for a small percentage.
