No one will want anything to do with you or your friends/family if you keep avoiding payments. If shit comes up and you can't pay in full that month, keep in contact with the person who you owe money to and explain why you can only pay this amount this month.

Chances are slim this little blip in his life will have any effect on his future career. In a couple weeks this thread will die, maybe sooner. Then no one will give a shit that a high school kid had trouble paying a $1600 debt. Unless he does this type of thing constantly, hes not a scammer, just a little kid who doesn't know how to manage money, and gets in way over his head by doing stupid things such as not keeping in contact ect... That being said, his parents are more to blame, what dad lets their kid get $1600 in debt? A moron.
