Unlock Code

Does anyone know where to get an unlock code for other phones except blackberry? I need it for Samsung, LG and Nokia brand.

you can try your luck at cellunlock.net. if you use the discount crackb50 (last time i checked last week it still worked) you get 50% off.

otherwise there's the standard ebay and possibly some local options as well.

I could really use an unlock code for my ollld Samsung A600 from Bell

I've got pictures on it that i would like to put on my PC but Bell locked picture downloading from device->pc had to use Bells Pay service (last i remember some guy had to go through so much bullshit to finally get an unlock code from Bell)

If it's an android, you can extract the unlock code yourself.

globalunlockcodes.com is what I have been using whenever a friend comes to me asking for an unlock.

Thanks. use 50% off discount code and made it $10. how long does it usually take?

edit: sigh, just realize Bell HTC Desire Z is more than $10. :(

You can't. It's only a few phones from Samsung that you can do that.

To extract the unlock code, it depends which phone you have.

Each phone varies in procedure and software and such.
Your best bet is you run a quick search in the XDA Developers forums.

I unlocked the AT&T captivate and used it on Rogers before the cappy was even released here. Worked like a charm, but as I said, procedure depends on the device.

I'm a cheapass, so doing a bit of research to save $10-15 was well worth it for me.

That and the misplaced sense of self accomplishment. :fullofwin:

The amount of android phones that can be locked is really limited. Like less than a handful. So far only the Samsung galaxy s series. You made it sound like they can all be unlocked easily. Which they can't.

it's definitely not a task for novices. it's quite complicated and am holding off until I really need an unlock. there are actually xda-created programs that will do it from an AT&T SGS, but for rogers you have to work inside the phone to get it out.

personally i'd rather pay for it, but it's not available yet :(
