its not a truck anymore LOL |
dummys. |
pretty sure that is fake, truck was prolly totalled before they even did this and id be willing to bet they cut the frame. The frame is a lot stronger than that, the tow rope or the tow hook wouldve snapped before the frame did. Even if the frame did break, it would bend and not just snap in half like that. |

I think your overestimating the strength of a pick-up trucks frame, the truck is having a massive amount of force exerted on it by the skidder on one end and is holding several tons of water on the other. The result is completely logical, it found the weakest point and bent in half. |
anybody needs a flatbed to "tow" their car :troll: JUST MAKE SURE THERE AREN'T ANY VIDEO CAMERAS AROUND http://hphotos-snc6.fbcdn.net/192626..._7322308_o.jpg |
Two of those vids, they are using recovery straps and are snapping them tight rather than applying gradual load. Shock loading like that can bend and rip off whatever they have it attached to such as the bumper. As that truck in the lake, I agree with Mindbomber as the tremendous weight of the water/ice/snow wasn't accounted for and the frame folded. And as for the tow truck, looks like an old beat up F150 with a crane. I saw this on TV a while ago |
