Your Top Investment Books

Hey fellow investors!

I reckon that many of you investment buffs are also bookworms and I thought it would be useful to have a thread on investment books!

What great investment books have you read lately? Which books are on your must read list? Which books do you recommend and why?

My personal fav. investment book is Garth Turner's 'Money Road'. I really enjoyed his writing style and his reasoning comes across as both logical and cogent. I especially appreciated the fact that this book is written from a Canadians' perspective, in the Canadian context, for Canadians.

The Intelligent Investor - Benjamin Graham

The Warren Buffet Way - Robert G. Hagstrom

Reminiscence of a Stock Operator - Edwin Lefevre

The first one might be a bit more challenging to understand. Second one is interesting even if you have no investment knowledge.

Before you read The Warren Buffet Way, read Payback Time by Phil Town.

It gives you an applicable way for using Warren Buffet's concept. IMO, it will give you a better understanding on TWBW. At least that what I had to do, I sorta get TWBW, then after reading Payback Time, I went back and read TWBW again.

More personal finance, but I enjoyed the Rich Dad Poor Dad books and The Weathy Barber.

Rich Dad Poor Dad is a fictional motivational book and if you take his advice literally and go to his seminars then you are a fool.

Look at this in-depth analysis of his book
John T. Reed's analysis of Robert T. Kiyosaki's book Rich Dad, Poor Dad

Wow lots of info there. You need to take everything with a grain of salt of course. I enjoyed reading them none the less.

I saw the CBC report on his seminars. Those are a huge rip off.

+ infinity. Robert Kiyosaki is a borderline scam artist.
