| Bringing your SO meals at work
I've made and brought my boyfriend lunch at work for the past two thursdays and I quite enjoy cooking for him (bonus cus he doesn't get sick from it..!!!) and I kinda wanna keep doing it.
First week I made him pasta then the next week i made a sandwich. Those two items are so... common. I'm stuck for what to make the following weeks, so men, please help me out =] What do you guys like to have for lunch, better yet, what would you like your girlfriends to make and bring you?
He's picky as hell though, he doesn't like vegetables and I made the mistake of putting onions and zuchinni in the pasta, which he picked out and only ate the pasta...
Anyways... please throw some ideas at me =] thanks!

You could make a chicken cacciatore, but there are some vegetable in the sauce, but you can sieve it afterward, then cook it until thick.
Then serve with pasta. You both will like it. I made it at school a couple of times.

I used to make my gf spaghetti and meatballs for lunch/dinner if she was at work =)
let's just say she LOVED it. Anything I cook for her, she basically loves! I'm starting to run out of recipes now..need to learn some more from TV shows or books/magazines haha.
OH may I recommend to you the pesto sauce with tortelinne - it's really good!

when I'm at work I always want something hearty...something about the workplace environment just makes me want to sit on my couch at home and drink soup.
maybe that's a place to start.

I do a short rib stew. It's really nothing more than browned short rib, then mirepoix (celery carrots onions) and a few tomatoes.
Just slow cook it for a couple hours until the short ribs melt in your mouth.
Since the veggies are cooked down, it's more like the sauce.
He'll eat his veggies then, cause they'll taste like cow.

chicken tortillas? I've been in love with them these days!
any type of chicken meat will do and just slow pan grill it w/ some bbq sauce to add more flavour into the meat. I like melting cheese into it when its almost done and then pan sear some onions and green peppers.
Dice up some tomatoes up if you want

With any kind of stew/soup/chili, I like to chop up a crapload of spinach and throw it in towards the end. The spinach wilts and you can barely tell it's there, but a very easy way to get in some iron and nutrients from veggies.
Your bf will get fat if he's at a desk job eating sandwiches and pasta all the time :P

when i make food in small batches for myself, i usually stick with either soups or pasta.
soup leftovers are excellent and pasta is quite acceptable.
just make sure you balance out the meal with some a little fruit or a salad.

first of all, props to you for spoiling your bf, i sure HOPE you get your end of the bargain for being such a great gf.
While you cook for him, space it out a bit, don't let him take you for granted and you're soon run out of ideas, so please, for your sake and his own, you don't have to do it once every week so you don't feel like it's a chore.
Don't burn yoruself out.

The boneless skinless chickenbreast (frozen) they sell at costco is just around the same size as the one you get at cactus when you order the creole chicken. I make it with my favorite bbq sauce and steamed carrots/broccoli and mashed potatoes when I'm too lazy to go to cactus (or when I have no one to go with ). Tastes pretty good for home made.
