If you have any questions ill be more then happy to answer any, ive been going to the gym for 2 years, and after lifting weights and running most of my life, this really breaks up the monotimy of going to the gym. And to boot you learn how to box and get into tremendous shape!

The gym is a two level, older building. The top level is where the ring is located and where the skipping and floor work is done but closes at 11. The bottom level contains all the bags (speed bags, heavy bags, double end bags) and is opened 24/7. The basement however does alllow enough space to get everything accomplished that you would upstairs. (also, private showers, and a sauna in the basement as well!_

just like any gym, after work becomes quite busy, but when it becomes mad house busy the gym moves into a unison (ie skip together, ground work together, bag work together). After 7 its pretty open.

anyone frequent this gym? I'm looking to do a personal photo series with boxers and need some boxers that might be interested in getting their portraits taken. Anyone know the place and it's members well?

it's about $50ish and you need to get a physical exam done by your doc along with blood test etc.

you need to register if you're going to participate in sparring

Thinking about joining, I used to go to Griffins but it was getting pretty expensive. Since there are no classes how does the instruction work? Do they have some sort of workout planned out for you or do they just give you tips/correct you?

You do your own thing and there are trainers that walk around and you ask them for help/instruction.

Doesn't seem like there's much structure at all so it's not all that great for a beginner.

i checked out the place with a friend and the person who works there a bald guy with a european accent is rude. i told him i wanted to think about it and he said what for and i said well there isnt enough weight equipment in their downstairs-i want to bulk up and at same time learn some self defence, and he said how one can get big just by doing push ups, situps, chin ups and no need for fancy equipment and he told me to just sign up for fitness world-said it very bodly and rudely and said that he doesnt want me here. "ya you just go sign up for fitness world" "you go " "you go"
i mean i just said i had to think about it. he was rude about it. just bad very bad customer service. yea i wont be going there. i was about to though.
i mean why do boxing when you can do kick boxing or muay thai . more fun.
the downstairs looks very run down and like someones basement. you could just buy a boxing bag and do it on ur own
