The worst part is people who are unaware of bullying shrug it off and they probably don't even realize that their own kids are in some form associated with a bully or victim. Bullies are attention whores, take the attention away and everything else disappears. No one bullied me because I didn't take any shit from anyone. I was a geek in high school but I was a tough kid. Also 6' 2" @ 180lbs. at the age of 16 can be scary :P

True. And the punishment they got isn't something I would ever consider, but every animal reacts differently when backed into a corner. There's no excuse for the innocent bystanders, the Columbine kids just opened fire on anyone in front of them.

I was bullied, too. I was in grade 6 and sadly it was by girls. These girls were popular and pretty. I accused one of them for stealing my pencil case because mine went missing and one of the girl had the exact same one. I knew she had my pencil case because mine was unique with Japanese anime.

They wanted to meet me after school and I was stupid enough to listen to them. They had a pocket knives and they threatened me.

I don't know why I am sharing but I think this is the first time since it happened 20 odd years ago.

the biggest question is, it's either richard or the cameraman himself that initially uploaded the video on to the internet. so "blaming" on casey's mom is just retarded...

In situations like this, you've ALWAYS got to give benefit of the doubt to the bully-victim despite whatever the excuse was for bullying. It's always the same anyways.

"we weren't serious"
"we were only kidding"
"we didn't mean to harm him"
etc.


seriously, fuck that noise. Those kids were not just doing physical damage, but insurmountable psychological damage as well all for the sake of a little "amusement" on their part. There's no blowing that out of proportion and anybody who DOWNPLAYS THIS for whatever reason:

"it's no big deal"
"they weren't doing any serious physical harm"
"it's just kids being kids"
"kids need to learn to stand up for themselves"
etc.

is echoing how bullies understate the effects of bullying itself.
