Question about changing serpentine belt on K20 engine

I am doing a DIY serpentine belt change because I am broke. Anyways, based on what I saw on this video I took a wrench to the auto tensioner pulley's bolt and pulling it clockwise:


trying to loosen the belt. However, the pulley did not budge. Am I missing a step that I should do first? For instance loosen a bolt on the auto tensioner? Sry I am a newb at this. Thanks in advance.

P.S; does anyone know where I can get a belt diagram for the K20A3? I took a few pictures, but I just want to know if I can find one. It wasn't on the inside of my hood. Cheers.

So you did exactly that and the tensioner didn't swing out?
It's spring loaded that should be all thats needed to do if your in the area come back and I'll give it a shot for you.

thanks bud, i'll try again. maybe i just need a longer wrench... I am actually saving some money to come do a coolant flush (I live in a condo and don't have a hose) at your shop and to take care of this ABS light that's been coming on.

maybe you need to try turning the wrench with more force, sometimes the tensioner spring is pretty strong. you might need to double up wrenches if yours isn't long enough!

true that. i ghetto extensioned my two tiny ass wrenches so I'm sure if I had something super long like in that video, I'd have way more torque. It made a creaking noise but the spring refused to give. I didn't want to break something so I didn't pull farther. I'm assuming this is the first time in the 9yr history of the car the belt will be changed, so I am up against 9yrs of corrosion.
