Pics will be up in a few days.
There is more to a type R than just the engine. Sound deadening is not applied to the floorpan. The body is reinforced with added bars. The sway bars are bigger. The rear suspension uses the eyelet mount vs the fork mount. 5 bolt with bigger brakes vs 4 bolt. Interior differences. There is more to a type r than just meets the eye so please stop with the uninformed comments. Pm or call for any questions. Posted via RS Mobile |

Still reads to be a very solid engine build though. Glws

Good luck with the sale, ill vouch for this car (bought the hood from me) Posted via RS Mobile |

B16A2 is the EM1 civic SiR coupe motor.
B16B is CTR motor.
B16B is basically the same a B18C5 block with different Rods and pistons.
B16A2 motors have different deck height and are shorter than the B16B/ B18C5 blocks.
corrections aside, willing to part out a couple pieces..? i got oem parts on my end.

Thank you for clarifying that up for me tofu1413. But unfortunately I am not parting out at the moment and not sure if or when I will part anything besides the Skunk2 LCAs and coilovers. I wish to keep the car whole for the time being.
On another note, since I don't have a dyno graph to show I'll explain a little bit about how the engine drives for those interested.
Stock B18C5's (ITR engine) make around 170 - 180 whp. It also holds a pretty steady torque curve from around 3000 rpms right up until redline at 8400 rpms making it a relatively easy motor to drive as the torque to the ground doesn't differ much between mid and high rpms.
The engine in this car has less displacement (1.6L vs 1.8L) but makes more power. It does this through a number of ways. Intake/Exhaust is more free flowing, higher compression ratio, much larger camshaft profiles and tuned cam gears and ECU. The result though is much different. This combination creates an engine where the power is made mostly in the higher end of the rpm range (5000-9000) at the cost of low range rpm (1500-4000) power.

Nope, I'm from the island. It will be able to pass with an "aircare" tune.

Old style omp cage. Thicker steel and more rigid than auto power. But then again also heavier. Posted via RS Mobile |

Look at tofu getting all technical. It's hard to compare any of the b16a2, b16b or b18c5, they all have fair power gaps.
Those numbers are actually impressive for a b16a2, it would be interesting to see the dyno. It's tricky for a ITR with a built head including cams, and full intake/exhaust to break 200whp, let alone a b16a2 without a bore and stock breathing. So if your estimate is correct it would be very impressive... and odd. Glws
