need help with Megasquirt

I bought a MS1 with MS1-Extra firmware on a V2.2 mainboard, it's suppose to be a plug and play for my 90 firefly turbo.

bought the whole kit from http://www.mtmotorsport.ca, they are located in Toronto and are familiar with T3 engine ( http://www.mtmotorsport.ca/projects/...or-200whp.html )

I've hook it up but car won't start; it crank, but just won't start.
I've check the starter, ignition coil, distributor, wires, spark plugs they all fine.

I've use MegaTune with MS1 Extra 029y4 firmware, the RPM reading, the table doesn't move at all, it stays at 0rpm.

I've asked the seller about it, he told me "Try to reverse the two wires at the distributor pickup. There is a short wire lead coming out of the distributor with two wires, try to reverse them and try again"

I try but still no luck, can anyone help me out?

I did contact the seller but since they locate in Toronto, I can't get instant reply.

sorry for the long post. just wanna get my car running.

you need to diagnose your no start properly. stand alone systems require a complete understanding of the modern fuel injected engine system. the curve is steep but keep at it!!!

Uh, no. It's not going to switch on the fuel pump relay or pulse the injectors if he's not getting an RPM signal.

First, forget megatune. Get tunerstudio, and buy the full version, seriously.

Second, Fire up the tooth logger in tunerstudio and see if you get any action on the tach input.

Third, consult the factory wiring diagrams and confirm if the distributor signal is a hall effect or VR signal. You will then need to confirm that your MS board is jumpered appropriately.

It sounds like you don't have any signal from your distributor which is why you are stuck at 0 rpm. I've just moved out here from the Toronto area and actually know Matt & Tim from MTMotorsports very well. I'd recommend giving Matt a buzz as I am sure he will help you out.

I'm very comfortable with tuning the MS systems but I don't know the wiring side of your specific application. (Most of my MS wiring experience is on Miatas, however I have tuned many different MS1 and 2 setups)

check the mega squirt board, You might have a jumper in place that needs to be removed :S
