| Convert Big5 to unicode for ipod library
i receive 4 gigs of asian music including japanese, korean and chinese songs for my ipod.
After sync from itune, alot of songs do not display proper song titles (particularly chinese songs), they looks like codes..
My research shows that ipod can only read eastern asian language in "unicode" format.
Is there any app or program out there that can convert "big5" to "unicode"?
I found NJstar program, but i have to manually do it 1 by 1, copy song title, paste title again., blah blah zZzZzzZZZZ
The library consists of over 2000 songs. I will die before i can even complete.
Any asian music listeners out there know how to deal with this easy and quick way?

Not exactly what you're looking for, but I used TuneUp. It's a program that finds songs' title, artist, and album by scanning each song. You can drag up to like 500 songs at once to clean up. However it's not perfect because sometimes it gets the song totally wrong but it's really better than nothing. So I recommend you to do it artist by artist and check if its right every few songs - you'll get the hang of it once you start. Also, older and more well known songs will give you a better chance of getting the title/artist correct.
Bad thing is that its $30 bucks for unlimited clean ups, but there's a trial for 100 songs, so try it out. http://www.tuneupmedia.com/index.php

Update:
Downloaded foobar2000 and installed foo_chaon plug in. Added all my chinese songs to foobar library, and of course they all looks like weird garbage symbols..etc
Selected all songs and used the option "Fix Metadata Charset" and converts all songs in library from ANSI(big5) to Unicode (UTF-8). All seems to work in Foobar2000 media player and can view all song tags, album, artist..etc.
Now I opened up my itunes and try adding all the songs to it (freshly converted). Again itunes showed them as garbage codes, squiggly symbols and stuff.
I duno whats going on. What am i doign wrong?
