The Killing Anyone watching this on AMC? Filmed in Vancouver. |
any good? i love AMC originals..but i never checked out rubicon (figured it sucked being cancelled one season in) |
Yeah i'm hooked to it. |
I'm watching it. |
looks interesting.. ill torrent it and check it out sounds like harpers island...highly recommend it if you haven't seen it |
Filmed at Tech |
Gonna start watching it now just because Leoben from Battlestar Galactica is in this :D |
Love this show. The black teacher gradded from the same high school as me. He always talked about being an actor. Glad to see that he made it. |
I KNEW I recognized parts of Vancouver in the outdoor scenes...mostly because it was raining and it looked so familiar. LOL...it's supposed to be Seattle...why not just film in Seattle? AMAZING series so far. It's exciting and intriguing without being sensational. It feels very real...filmed beautifully but not..."stylishly". The characters feel authentic...like real, normal people. My only problems? The female cop repeating "I'm not staying." every 10 minutes. I'm also a little afraid that not enough is happening but even though it's a little slow, the tone and pace works so well together. The score too. Ever since shows like The Sopranos, The Wire, etc ended on HBO, they've fallen behind AMC in terms of top notch programing. AMC has pretty much all the best shows on TV now with Mad Men, Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead and now this. |
I think the best thing about the show is that there's no way to see what's coming. There's so many subplots, possible deception from everyone, all kinds of small clues everywhere. There are shots everywhere that I'm sure the director is trying to imply matters to the overall plot like they're just teasing us with it. I knew from the second the way the teacher taking the punk's phone was shot that the phone would be significant in some way down the line and...sure enough... |
I don't think skater douche and rich prick are the killers. Something has me thinking it's too early in the series to reveal the murderer. BTW, I like how rich prick's dad slapped the piss out of his pinner son. |
I love this show. Can't wait to see the new episode this sunday.. |
so far i only find it mehh..but it does feel quite realistic. I find the main characters kind of flat...i feel like the support cast, mainly the grieving family is what's keeping me interested. and i think they are overexaggerating the rain lol...and this being a crime thriller with somewhat of a film noir approach reminds me of the game heavy rain |
The teacher is the new suspect :O Seeing the inside of Van Tech brings back some memories. |
It won't be the teacher. Too obvious. |
Linden's son is the killer. |
Shit just got real. :fuckyea: |
Awesome show. They really got the atmosphere right. |
this show just ain't doing it for me...but that ending to the last episode was pretty shocking. I also find the political debacle really boring. |
I'm getting pretty tired of the mom's guilt trips. |
So yesterday was the last episode. So who killed Rosie? |
There's two more. |
Yesterday was not the last episode. |
I'm starting to like Holder's character |
How can a show that moves this slow be this exciting? Jack Bauer would've got all this information in an episode and a half. Tonight's episode is a good example. Exciting but not a DAMN THING happened with the main plot. I think AMC is just looking at Mad Men and taking episode ideas now. This is pretty much the episode where Don and Peggy work late at the office except taken even more extreme. No one else says more than a line or two except Linden and Holder. So much explained about the two main characters background. |
