Nice pics. But imo a little too much of editing a lot of cars have a halo on it and the cars has exaggerated shadows, too much contrast.

I thought the LFA was white not grey.

too much shitty editing drowns out the natural quality and craftsmanship of the vehicle. Leave it alone!

i think the pics look bausss for a beginner, good job dude keep it up :bigthumb: , i like the whole black and grey thing it works well with the background since its a crowded autoshow and theres really no background too focus on so it kinda drowns the people/othercars and what not out.

this. no offense, but your unedited pictures probably look better than the edited ones. the "hdr" effect doesnt on everything especially on cars.

let's just say, dragon photography won't be doing my wedding photos

You have already expressed your feelings in a previous post. If you have nothing constructive to add, why bother posting?

To the OP: I agree that the images are over edited but I like your shots. Nice work and keep practicing :).

Timpo 04-12-2011 10:10 PM

Yeah and cuz there won't be a wedding unless the girl was more stupid and ignorant than him.

StylinRed 04-13-2011 05:22 AM

i thought he was paying homage to the Top Gear episode with the LFA, but then i saw all the rest

shenmecar 04-13-2011 06:34 AM

You're hitting the HDR hole my friend.

bloodmack 04-13-2011 11:25 AM

I think HDR is good for photos of landscapes but other things is meh. Practice more before posting your photos here dark, try posting it where people would help you fix your photos rather than tell you they suck.

dark0821 04-13-2011 07:10 PM

updated thanks for all the tips, its revscene, its bound to have haters, and I admit, the photos looks WAYYYY BETTER after everyone's tips, they are still edited, but alot more subtle xD

!Aznboi128 04-13-2011 07:33 PM

^ that's a lot better dude keep up the good work, take the cam out keep on shooting :)

practice makes perfect, and dont worry about the haters. They help lol

JapaDog 04-13-2011 10:37 PM

Maturely taking criticism is one of photographer's most powerful tool and motivation. As much as people like or don't like your photo, they are also the audience; the respect you pay to the viewers is the essence that drive your photography skill to a better level.

To OP, I just wanna say kudo to you for taking all the criticism with a welcoming attitude, you've got potential. :bigthumb:

cool story bro, tell me more about your travels

davidhtam 04-14-2011 08:12 AM

much better, but the car is still under exposed... it looks like you just took the original file and converted it to black and white.

Hope you don't mind, but i did a quick 2 second edit on a couple of your photos to show you the difference.

All I did was increase exposure to make the white car actually look white, then adjust the highlights to bring some of the reflections back in the paint.

If you're using lightroom, when adjust the the exposure or blacks, hold down the ALT key while using the slider. The screen will turn black for exposure and white for blacks while you adjust the sliders. If there is anything over exposed while adjust exposure, you will see blown out sections in the black screen and similarly for adjusting the blacks but opposite colors. Hope that helps!
