filing previous years taxes

Hi guys, long story short after I turned 18 I went to post secondary school right away. I didn't get my first job until I was 20 which was the first year I got my t4 and my first year I filed my taxes.

Back then I didn't know, but I want to submit my taxes for the 2 years prior to report my unused federal and provincial tuition credit. When I file those 2 previous years, do I have to make amendments to the 3 years I filed already (20-23 years old). I know I might get a bigger refund because I will report a bigger unused tuition amount or does that even matter if I don't make a certain income in the year?

or, can I just not amend my last 3 years and cra will automatically add the unused credits from those 2 previous years onto my eligible unused credits for next year?

thanks
