Infocus, Benq or Dell..

I used all of them and I have been happy with them.

What is something decent for under $1000. I want something long-lasting that's decent quality, mainly for movies + gaming.

+1 for Dell and their deals. I bought 2 S300's for my office for $500 each, last year. At the time, the regular price was $1100 each (now $949). Bulbs are $170, which is pretty good, considering our old Dell 2400MP bulbs are $370.

I'm using a BenQ W5000, and I couldn't be happier with it.
It does seem to hurt even more though when I watch the Canucks get trampled across 123 inches..

I know the W5000 (and it's successor, the W6000) is out of your price range, but I also heard good things about the W1000+
