I never implied anything other than pointing out the simple fact that there is a difference

as some seem to consider 'him' an actual 'she' simply for being labeled as 'transgendered'


and neither am I condoning any actions towards him (if you read my op up above you'll see that)

I just don't think sexuality can (or should ) be reduced to a few words gleaned from an old dictionary.

Especially when it reduces transexuals as "habitual cross dressers". That's an antiquated notion and vaguely insulting.

I'm very glad to see that attitudes on this page are quite different than on page one. Intolerance is not acceptable regardless of the reason for it. If you feel that transgendered-ness is something that comes from something "wrong in the head", you need a lot more education on the subject.

If I see any more prejudicial comments, the banhammer will come out and those of you who make those comments will be lucky to have their accounts see the light of day again. Some of you are very lucky I'm out and about and not at my computer now.

Yep, forums are places for opinions to be exchanged. Forums are unfortunately also places for ignorance to be spread, unintelligent opinions to be tossed about like crack in the DTES (with similar results), and for people who have actual thoughtful opinions to often get shouted down.

This does not have to be one of those times.
