Letter Carrier in Point Roberts is awesome.... haha... one time they let chun on this board pick up my freaking $2000 custom made Gram Lights wheels when I wasn't even there and he just gave my name... my obviously white Scottish name (he's asian)... and they just handed them over no questions asked! Love it!!!! :D

If you're a jerk they'll do all that, never lie (or be a very good liar)

My experience is that they're thorough, but never reckless in their searches, might even look under your hood if you have a modded car.

I usually go over with absolutely nothing in my car at all, empty trunk, empty compartments. Saves the hassle, that way the searches take 2 minutes and I'm in and out in 5 minutes often no tax after the search.

That's good to hear. I heard many horror stories where the driver is being honest, but the customs decided to search, took off all the interior panels and created a huge mess in the car.

They searched me and my wallet. Then proceeded to search my car for literally 10 min. It was 2 of them who searched my car lol and one was taking really long in the drivers side. Checked trunk and under the hood as well. Attitide was pretty much a fuck you but thats their job.

Sorry to thread jack and bump an old ass thread but this is the first time I'm doing this.

I'm choosing Hagen's over TSB since it's closer by like 25km. I signed up for an account with them/MDD. Receiving rates says I also have to pay $5. Do I just put my name + digital doorman user (HBxxxxx) + their address? Is that all there is to it?

Thanks lol :okay:

Hagen's of Blaine

What's the charge for receiving tires?
Or do they just charge it by weight?

And if they charge it by weight....say I have 4 tires at 30lbs.
Will they charge me 4 X ($5.00 under 44lbs)

Or can I pay the $12.50 (100lbs and up) fee for total of all 4 tires?

SSM_DC5 11-08-2011 10:55 PM

I used Hagen's for a set of tires before all the membership stuff. I got charged for 2 packages and no overweight fees. Tire Rack ziptied two tires together to make it 1 package.

StealthFighter 11-09-2011 01:13 PM

I paid $5 for a set of 4 tires from tirerack at hagen's

Avery 11-10-2011 05:02 PM

i used kinek last time i shipped to blaine and it was the same

give them the paper , Are you XX , yes , they get the package
..

kinda unsettling when i was picking up two photoprinters that retail for 3000$ each

Was it because 4 X tires = weight still within "45-99lbs.....$5.00"
So they didn't charge you each tire individually. Nice!

When you pick up your package from Hagen's. Do you need to bring anything to verify the package is yours? Besides ID(Drivers License)

Nope, just ID to make sure it is yours.

I always have my invoice just in case but have never had to use it.
