I just bought a 1992 FD And looking for a good rx-7 specialist. From a quick search I found "Mazda Independent Specialist" on burnside. Has anyone on here used them or heard anything from them? Thanks
You're best bet is to learn do it all yourself. You can get rebuild videos and charts with all part numbers for a couple hundred bucks. Then you'll pretty much be as good as anything local or even close.
There's a shop in Van that works with rotaries but they send all their kegs to rx7 specialties in Calgary for rebuilds/porting.
Welcome to owning a rex! lol

Own Forceced proformance in langly now (if im not aloud to say the name feel free to remove it) great guy and the ONLY one i trust other then Mark Benny to work on my rx when i had it. i have dealt with many other companys,m (one out of alberta who i will NOT name cuz ther fucking scammers and asshats) and other who are just Sub-par IMO compaired to marco. if youy have any question, feel free to PM me.
Hickman
Yes, your pretty much screwed being on the Island. As for the mainland there is many options, and Marco is hit or miss.
Greg Staff, Mark Carlson, Steve Wallace and Barry Allan all need Mentioning. Greg Staff Builds IMSCC Champ cars. I Have raced rotarys for 3 years now, and if i wasnt able to build my own, only Mark or Greg would touch it.
Mark Bennie as Hickman said. He was the No.1 tech at Nanaimo's Christensen Mazda but went to work for the City of Nanaimo when word of the ownership change started brewing. He's not just a mechanic but a racer too...
