Need a quick restaurant suggestion for tonight!
I've looked into Le Crocodile and West etc and they're a bit out of my price range. I had a good experience at Chambar last year, so I decided to give them a call but they said they were pretty booked for tonight.
Budget is about $40-45/per head and theirs 5 of us. Cuisine would most likely be Western/France or Japanese.
Tried Hy's last week, food was good and price is around your range (tax out, excluding tip). Had a 16oz rib steak for around $36 and shared some appetizers and desserts. Considering it's downtown and the size of the steak, the value's surprising good since the keg charges maybe $20-ish for an 8-10oz.
I think I had the blackened creole chicken breast and my gf had the lobster grilled cheese. They also offer steaks and pastas.
Sometimes they will ask you if you have been there before and give you free ahi tuna tacos which tasted awesome. I don't know if they still do this.
I have been to both the Burnaby and the Coquitlam one.
