i had a lobster when i was 6yr with a bunch of other fish including a sucker fish (i duno the official name of the fish) & my sucker fish was a big eater after my lobster died it just ate all the other fishes when every he felt hungry, as we got this pets from the previous owner of the house as there was a built in fish tank

my dad never like the idea of having pets as it was a mess (my dads pretty westernize but there went his chinese side), he use to have a dog & cat when he was a kid & they both died (during my dads collage years in the states) my aunt cry non-stop when she was in chicago while my dad couldn't bared to see anything relate to the pet he had

this is why was the 2 reason why i never had pets besides the fish & lobster, but i got a bunny in HS later on (but thats another story)

also im sure some 6yr kid already has a shark cuz i remember 5yrs ago back then a lot of hollywood stars (mostly had hip hop singer & rappers) had sharks & shark tanks, so if u think about it if they had a kid then wouldn't the shark be the kids pet too as well

DiiCii 05-07-2011 09:48 PM

had 4 ducks, 6 kois, 2 love birds and a shitload of bugs in ziplock bags that i would catch LOL:fullofwin:

Can't remember what exactly at that age, but while I was a kid I always had a dog-Misty the retriever when I was probabaly about 6, and Amber the Collie after her until I was 17. Always had about 2 cats. My mom always had a Siamese cat-Simon when I was young that was about the most boring pet ever but very friendly and Sally a chocolate point that she got when I was 16 and now at 32 is still alive...barely. Once again friendly, but so goddamned loud.

I personally had 2 pet geese. They used to follow me around everywhere and come and greet me Ace Ventura style when I got home in the afternoon. The best part was they hated everyone else. Plus one of my pets gave me breakfast every morning. Did your goldfish do that?

Every morning before school I'd have to go into the backyard, break a hole through the ice in the stream, haul buckets of water up to the barn to fill their metal "pond" and feed them. Every July, spring was always appreciated for the minimal work it took to just let them out to take care of themselves.

Oh, my mom had a duck for awhile that would play fetch.

We had a donkey and a sheep and a cow that were also considered pets.

That kept my sister and I from getting attached to turkeys, chickens and cows that met with unfortunate ends in the fall, but not unfortunate meals!

i had tons of rabbits, some goldfish and tadpoles. no large pets though, so no cats or dogs, etc.

goldfish are so stupid. i remember one morning i woke up to find one laying on the kitchen floor because it had jumped out of the bowl some time during the night. the fish was white but turned purple when i found it in the morning :lol
