Whenever I am the host I usually have lag and end up rage quitting if i hit a death streak of 5 or more lol

when i ever i getting like a 0-10 or whatever, by the end of the game i usually get even or close to even. you just gotta change your strategy

It's totally different sniping in BF3 by comparison and much more difficult because you have to factor in the bullet drop over the huge maps. Hardly anyone does it because they don't have the patience to do it well and be effective.

Sniping actually takes quite a bit of skill in bf3

Ok, so if anyone is still having problems with lag, I seemed to have fixed mine last night. Read through this blog regarding what the problem is:

Is MW3 Lag Compensation penalizing players with faster connections? | Call of Duty 8 Modern Warfare 3

Fast connections get screwed right?

My connection at home is with Novus and I'm consistently at around 20-25mb download and about 8-11mb upload via speedtest.net. So to fix this problem, I slowed down my connection. If your router supports QOS, you can use that to throttle your connection to your ps3. Or you can flash your router using software from www.dd-wrt.com | Unleash Your Router, which will allow you to throttle your bandwidth. I've throttled mine down to about a 1-2mb connection going to my ps3.

So with that done, I've fixed any lag that I may have had before, especially on ground war and domination. I've played about 3 hours without any lag at all. Finally, this game is playable now. :fuckyea:

If anyone wants to attempt this and has any questions let me know and I'll be happy to assist.

holly shit i was playing just now and came up with the idea that i have too fast of a connection, cause i always get killed after turning a corner yet kill cam shows i still havnt turn arnd the corner yet

Most people would think that it's better to have a fast connection for gaming which normally it should be, but in mw3, for whatever reason the lag compensation screws it up.

Just try it out. If your router supports QOS, throttle it down to about a 1.5mb upload and 500kb upload.

The past few days I've been playing with zero lag. Ground war is finally playable.

anybody can help me this my problem? it seems that my pc is stuttering everytime during slow motion, car chase, and the remote helicopter, it lags so bad i cant even shoot, it doesnt hang

tried lowest settings and resolution, still doesnt solve the problem
i dont play online, its the offline campaign mode

pc spec is here:
intel i5 2500k
gtx 560 ti sonic, 285.79 firmware
8gb ddr3 12800

I hate this so much! The thing that pisses me off more, is when I am being shot I run behind some cover (penetration not possible-thick wall) and still get killed. Watching the kill cam I never made it to the cover WTF!!!!????

latest patch for ps3 seem to have made the lag compensation much worse for me. guess i will have to try to throttle the router and see if that helps.

patch 1.07 was out today....anyone try the new game mode???

Hold an area and get care packages w/o any kill streaks???

The game goes by fast and it a cluster F*ck of death....however you earn little XP for each game it seems if you don't stand in the area needed to be captured.
