Regardless of what kind of "traffic" it is, I'd be willing to bet my left testicle much can be attributed to the FUSWMYL thread :fullofwin:

I go to all the subforums more than I go to the offtopic or automotive sections now.. I rarely go to buy an sell unless I'm looking for something I want to buy lol.

Actual unique visitors, and actual page visits have gone up every month for the past 2 years (except one peak month due to the Japanese earthquake). We don't count bandwidth as a metric of measuring site traffic.

we monitor traffic monthly,

RS has grown steadily 20-25% comparitively to the previous years.

you see less post, only because we've made RS more visible to the general public. however existing posts are concentrated on certain areas of RS.

As RS grows, we all grow with it, however, to limit growing too fast and bursting like many other sites, we try our best to retain our original roots. That is why we don't simply eliminate areas of slow growth on RS. If RS growns too fast, and we collapse because of it, some of us will have to pick up the pieces of whats left. Some of us have more at stake.

RS is my 3rd internet venture, and ive applied and learned what ive failed from previous ventures and tries, combined with fresh ideas like from skinny. Yeah i sound more older and my approach towards RS has changed as well, comes with getting older, and comes with pride knowing you've defied the odds and everyone elses negativity towards RS.

In the end of the day, i can sit back with everyone involved and say, "meh, they wrong"

I for sure became less active because my new job no longer allows me to surf during work. And I'm exhausted once I'm home. Guess that's part of growing up (old).

Isnt the reason why theres less post now than previous years is because of the Thanks and Fail Buttons. When someone makes a funny or intelligent post people usually comment on how much they agree or how much it made them laugh. Now its just one touch of a button

I defn agree with the people who said that they become less active due to the risk of being failed, I was like that as well, until i got my first fail lol.. now I just dont care about it all that much =.=
