Are the black toe quality bad?

Just wondering, since they are up to par with my Royals and better than my other AJ1's.... and I got my Black Toe as a B grade

Not sure if srs. The black toe portion of my Shadows started to crack after 1 month of daily urban use.

Then again, I just lowered by expectations after the CDP 3's and 4's.

My shadows have been worn to death rain or shine, they could pass as deadstock aside form the creasing on the toe box. Maybe you got a defective pair? Was it the paint or leather that cracked?

Paint. Literally on the black toe area. Yeah, perhaps it was a defect.

If anyone cares tomorrow Seattle Premium Outlet is releasing b-grade Thunder 14s. Probably $140 USD.
