Adidas has always been a giant in futbol/soccer and track but in the last 5 years or so they've focused more of research/money on collabs and the lifestyle/runner aspect of sneakers.Y-3, Kanye and Pharrell has helped make Adidas "cool". In the 80s Run DMC's were massive they almost got Jordan to sign with them too NIKE would be dead if MJ decided to go with Adidas.
Adidas has been sponsoring the NBA uniforms since 2006 and recently dropped out after Nike took the contract for 1 billion for 8 years. They put all their money that's been going to the NBA to other things such as hiring better designers directly from NIKE. http://static4.businessinsider.com/i...ke-lawsuit.png Quote:
Adidas is going to have an epic 2015.
The Three Stripes recently added three senior members of the Nike footwear design team. Nike Football Design Director Denis Dekovic, who was responsible for the Nike Magista, took to Instagram and announced that he and two other Nike designers will be making the move to adidas.
Joining him will be Mark Miner, a senior footwear designer who worked on the Nike Free, and Marc Dolce, the NSW design director responsible for reviving the Penny line.
