How early do poeple line up for the first come first serve for the royals? Downtown footlocker doing it but dont know what time to get there by... how come its so hard to get the royals. Do all the staff and close friends get a pair before the public get any. I want my first pair of jordan 1s !

People were starting to line up at 11:30AM when I passed by during my lunch break.

Apparently there was a website error last night because when I would try checking out on Nike.ca, I wouldn't be able to sometimes. I don't know if this is a joke or not but they're going to release at a later date. Hopefully it's not an April fools joke lol

Jsales: how long did it make you wait your turn on nike.com? I clicked my size and add to cart at 12midnight. After waiting my turn for 50+ minutes. At around 12:55am it said sorry its sold out.....

I went to richmond footlocker this morning at 730am. Line up about 50people. They gave out 14 pairs of royals......... there must be more. Do they give it all to staff and friends

I waited quite a while, maybe 50 minutes. When I was using Firefox, my add to cart would get an error and I would have to try again and the same thing would happen

Same I added right away on my iphone at 12:00AM, waited about 30-40 mins before it says it was sold out. Added the same time on my gf's account, on her laptop, waited for 50mins or so to get the same message. I just kept trying until it finally said the product is no longer avail and they took it off the website.

This has happened to me a few times recently including last night. First time was when I was trying to get the No Stop Sign flyknits. The other time it happened was with the ATMOS release, but that was expected.

Why are people waiting +6hrs overnight to days for the royals. It makes no sense waste of energy and time. They could just buy it from resellers for around $400 and it would be worth it.

Some lineup for hours to resell and make that $1-200 profit :lawl:

I realized buying shoes doesn't make me as happy as it did before, back then I would get compliments on my shoes that probably not many people had or seen but nowadays the sneakergame is so fucking crazy, everyone is wearing the same thing from ultra boost, yeezys, jordan 1's etc.. All the hype shoes that when I see someone wearing boost for example, I don't think anything of it. Just a regular shoe now lol

Being a sneakerhead back then was more of a subculture, now everyone and their mom are "into" sneakers. And willing to pay resale to wear the new hype be it Yeezys/UBS/NMDS now. When AF1s were huge in the early 2000s Nike made more then enough to meet the demand, then the SB Dunk craze happened and Nike bought into their own hype and started limiting supply to create hype. 2005 was the turning point, the SB pigeon then the Yeezy 1 in 2009 Concord 11 in 2011 Yeezy 2 in 2012 and now Adidas hype.

Didn't win the Nike store or Dipt raffle, Foot Locker release calendar said "first come first served" at Robson Foot Locker. Got there at 8AM only for the guy working there to tell me that they were all sold out. Meanwhile, he's wearing a pair of them. What a joke. :rukidding:

How does a store even sell out of shoes on launch day 2 hours before the store even opens? Unless there was some kind of midnight release that was not advertised. Pretty sure they just give/sell all their allotted shoes to family and friends. In any case I won't be shopping there any time soon if I can help it.

I wonder how many pairs of jordan royals all these stores in vancouver actually give out. They probably keep multiple pairs for themselves, family, friends, staff, before giving any to public. Like the footlocker in richmond first come first serve gave out 14 pairs of royals.

Theres no point in lining up for first come first serve for popular releases, you most likely wont get anything and waste your time in Vancouver. Its also stupid to wait over night or longer, waste of time, money, energy. Better to just pay resell, raffles, use a bot.

I've run into this before. The only thing that makes me feel better is that the asshole is selling shoes for a living. He may have the latest kicks, but he's still a minimum wage baller at best.

Same experience as the rest of you, clicked size 10 and waited close to an hour just to get a sold out message on Nike.com. Tried again in the morning on footlockers website and that was even worse. It wouldn't even let me add to cart right at 7am. After refreshing and clicking again and again I get the sold out message by 7:05am.

Why doesn't House of Hoops at Metrotown ever answer their phone? I've called multiple times over the last couple days and no one answers
